US President's Budget Deprioritizes Poverty

US President’s budget, released in February 2018, calls for cuts of 14 percent to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The president’s budget is the best indication of his priorities, and this one shows that poverty is not one for this president. While people of color face systemic discrimination in employment, housing, and access to quality education, the president’s priorities are also an example of systemic racism.
