Two Black Men in MO Exonerated After New Video Released

In February 2018 two black men in Missouri were exonerated after police released surveillance video showing, six months later, that they were the victims instead of the perpetrators in a robbery. Video showed that a white man had held up the two black men and shot one of them. The men struggled to pull the gun away and then ran for safety. The white man accused the two black men of attempted robbery, which was published in the local newspaper. One of the men was questioned by his boss after the newspaper story. The two men believe that had their mother not continued to press the police to seek surveillance video, they would have been charged with the crime and continued to be suspected by police.
