Houston Police Chief Announces a Reduction of Reports of Rape and Violent Crime by Hispanics
A Texas police chief announced a lower number of reports of rape and violent crime by Hispanics during the period between January and March 2017, and he noted that this is a reduction compared to the previous year. The increase in language that criminalizes immigrants has led to rapes and violent crimes going unreported at even higher rates. That means that justice is not served, and actual violent criminals remain at large to attack another person. Criminalizing an entire group of people based on race and status is a symptom of state control and institutionalized racism.
